M.J. Bale Spring Weddings: The Promise

Inspired by The Betrothed, Alessandro Manzoni’s classic tale of lovers, we headed to Italy’s iconic Lake Como to capture the most beautiful wedding scene in M.J. Bale history. At the centuries-old Villa Monastero in Varenna, on the east side of the lake, M.J. Bale discovered that the promise of betrothal resides in the things money can’t buy. As Manzoni writes: “The most valuable thing you can own is the assurance of your place in someone's heart.”
